After Henry's fun class today and all the new ideas floating around, I stumbled upon this site from clothpaperscissors.com about making fabric from paper.  What a great way to combine all those interesting bits of paper/paintings/whatever into a form that can be stretched/sewn/embellished. And here's some more info about Citra Solv for artists.

More auction volunteers needed

Crealdé Benefit Auction - Celebrate Your Creativity

Saturday, September 24, 2011, at the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando, 544 Mayo Avenue, Maitland, FL, 32751 at 6:30 pm.

The 15th Annual Benefit Auction is Crealdé's largest fund raising event, which enables us to continue our mission to stimulate the creative process inherent in each individual through hands-on education in the visual arts. The funds raised support our outstanding community programs that reach over 112,000 Central Floridians annually. 

Tickets are available for $50 each.

RIP--Christopher Peck

Christopher Haven Peck, one of the models at open studio, died unexpectedly July 31, 2011. He was 43. A Renaissance man of many talents, he will be missed by many. The memorial service will be held on Aug. 5th, 6 P.M., at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 622 W. S. R. 436, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 phone (407) 869-6065.

Raffle tickets for Swiss trip available now!!!

All fellows are encouraged to get a set of raffle tickets from Nancy to sell prior to the fundraising auction on September 24th.  So far, ticket sales are off to a slow start and we'll need to sell over $3,500 just to break even on trip costs.  Won't you help out? Hello World!

This is a test of a new blog/electronic bulletin board for the fellows at Crealde.  It can be updated by all fellows who wish to be "contributors" and those who sign up for email notification on the side bar will receive updates in their email as changes/needs occur or announcements are made.  The schedules on the top index (rough draft) will provide a snapshot (for all us visual people) of semester needs and requirements and the fellows who are signed up to meet the needs.
